At Studio GBM, sustainability is not an afterthought, it is embedded in the way we work, create, and collaborate. 

As a forward-thinking print and design studio, we understand the impact our industry can have on the environment. That’s why we are deeply committed to reducing our carbon footprint, minimising waste, and championing responsible production at every stage of our workflow.

Our Environmental Commitment

We believe great design should never come at the cost of the planet. From the materials we use to the partners we work with, every decision is made with environmental integrity in mind. Our goal is to operate as a low-impact, high-integrity business that contributes positively to the world around us.

Responsible Sourcing & Supply Chain

We work exclusively with suppliers who share our environmental values and uphold the highest standards of sustainability.

  • One of our trusted suppliers is Antalis, with their paper produced through  ethical forestry and certified under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This guarantees that all paper originates from responsibly managed forests that support biodiversity and community livelihoods.

  • We partner with Canon, whose industry-leading sustainability practices include reducing CO₂ emissions across their product lifecycle, energy-efficient machinery, and implementing closed-loop recycling systems for toner cartridges and components.

Materials & Printing Practices

  • We use eco-friendly, low-VOC inks, including vegetable-based options, which are safer for both people and the planet.

  • All paper offcuts and print waste are sorted and recycled through certified channels.

  • We avoid single-use plastics and prioritise recyclable and compostable packaging wherever possible.

Sustainable Logistics

  • We are reviewing and optimising our national and international delivery practices to reduce transportation emissions and improve delivery efficiency.

  • We encourage digital proofing wherever possible to reduce unnecessary production and freight.

Culture & Continuous Improvement

  • Sustainability is part of our internal culture. We promote awareness among our team and regularly train staff on eco-conscious practices.

  • We continuously measure and assess our environmental impact, setting new goals each year to drive improvement and innovation.

Supporting Our Local Environment

As a proud city-based studio located in Limerick’s Georgian Quarter, we’re committed to making a positive impact locally as well as globally. We support regional suppliers where possible, reducing transportation emissions and bolstering the local economy. We are continually exploring opportunities to partner with local sustainability initiatives and green business networks to help build a cleaner, more resilient future for our city and its community.
